Team GB's Georgia Bell won bronze in a brilliant 1500m race, won expertly by the now 3-time champions Kenyan Faith Kipyegon. All eyes were on Jakob Ingebrigtsen as he powered to victory in the men's 5000m final. The USA were unstoppable in the two 4x400m relay finals, with Team GB picking up bronze in both. Masai Russell also added to a successful night for Team USA by winning gold in the women's 100m hurdles.
The day started with the men's marathon, won by Tamirat Tola of Ethiopia. The women's race takes place on Sunday as they close the track competition at Paris 2024. Kenyan Hellen Obiri is the favourite to take gold on the streets of the French capital.
